  • What services will be available at the Rincon clinic?

    • Medical Department

  • What will be available at the Santa Ysabel clinic beginning?

  • What do I do if I need a pharmacy refill?

    • IHC advises that you have a minimum of 30 day supply on hand. If you refills are required, please contact the IHC pharmacy at your earliest convenience. We encourage patients to ask for refills with a 3-5 day advance notice due to increased demand during this time and to use our automated refill system.

  • Is IHC testing for COVID-19?

    • No. IHC is screening all patients at this time. IHC is not equipped to provide COVID-19 testing on-site. Patients that require testing will be referred to the appropriate testing facility.

  • How is IHC preparing for COVID-19?

    • The IHC Incident Command Team has been activated.

    • COVID-19 Signage has been placed throughout all high traffic areas of the clinic.

    • Patients are asked NOT to enter the clinic if they have cough, fever and shortness of breath or have traveled to a high-risk area. 

    • A COVID-19 IHC Triage Nurse Phone Line has been established. 760-751-6019

    • A COVID-19 link has been added to the IHC website www.indianhealth.com

    • For the safety of all, an outdoor COVID-19 screening is required for everyone prior to entry into the clinic. This includes patients, staff, and vendors. Access to the clinic is limited through the front Medical Lobby entrance only.

    • A minimal staffing plan has been implemented to ensure essential services are available.

    • For everyone's safety, IHC requires that all people entering clinic grounds must wear a face covering.

  • Are there any specific medicines to prevent or treat COVID?

    • To date, there is no specific medicine recommended to prevent or treat COVID-19

    • The best way to protect yourself and others is to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's recommended steps to avoid being exposed to the virus. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prepare/prevention.html

    • Govenor Gavin Newsom issued a stay at home order that went into effect on 3/19/2020 to protect the health and well-being of all Californians and to establish consistency across the State in order to slow the spread of COVID-19. The order is in place until further notice.
