988 Public Service Announcements

IHC's 988 Tribal Response Team and Communications Department partnered with community members to develop a series of new 988 Public Service Announcements.
These two-minute spots use authentic storytelling to explore experiences of grief, loss, isolation, and depression in ways that are relatable and deeply human. By creating an emotional connection, the ads aim to help viewers feel seen, understood, and empowered to reach out to 988 when they need support for their mental health.
Each ad follows a family in crisis, beginning with the same pivotal event and then tracing the emotional journey of either the grandmother or granddaughter. Through these personal perspectives, the campaign highlights the impact of mental health challenges and the importance of seeking help.
If you or someone you care about is struggling with their mental health, help is available. Call or text 988 for free, confidential support. You are not alone. 🩵 #988 #988tribalresponse #mentalhealthawareness

With gratitude to SAMHSA, this PSA was created to increase awareness of culturally responsive mental health and crisis resources for Tribal communities. Through SAMHSA funding, we are able to share messages of help, hope, and healing with individuals, families, youth, and Elders.
