Depression Awareness Month

1 min read

October is Depression Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness, break the stigma surrounding mental health, and remind our communities that no one has to face their struggles alone. Depression can affect anyone, regardless of age or background. By recognizing the signs, starting meaningful conversations, and supporting one another, we can create stronger, healthier communities rooted in compassion, connection, and hope.

Healing begins with connection, and every conversation matters. If you or someone you know is experiencing emotional distress or mental health challenges, call, text, or chat 988 for free and confidential support 24/7, or call 760-749-1410 Option 4 to connect with Indian Health Council's Behavioral Health Department (Monday-Friday, 8:00AM - 6:30PM).
