Human trafficking is connected to other forms of harm, including sexual violence, online abuse, economic instability, and social isolation. Here are some signs to be aware of if you ever suspect someone is in danger or is a victim of human trafficking.
It is vital that you do not put yourself or the individual at risk, as many traffickers are often dangerous criminals. Alert the appropriate professionals and call 911 if in immediate danger.
Call the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 888-373-7888 or text 233733
You can also speak with a local advocate at the Peace Between Partners program at (760) 749-1410 ext. 5321 or the StrongHearts Native Helpline at (844) 762-8483
