REZolution during the month of April spent a lot of time preparing and planning for multiple events and workshops that we hosted. One of the most emotional and healing workshops was Broken Bowl hosted by Christa Brennan with REZolution as support. During this workshop, community members were invited to bond with their randomly assigned bowl and break it into pieces, then decorate each piece and bring the bowl back together with glue, highlighting the cracks with gold paint. Many emotions and feelings were shared amongst one another, and bonds were created between the participants.

Another event that was hosted by REZolution in
collaboration with PATHWAYS (COIPP) was the
Games and Art Day. The event started oM with a
demonstration on how to play the game of
Peon and the history behind it. Local
community member Nate Perez, from Santa
Ysabel was very informative and patient with
the youth volunteers that were helping him.

Finally, Mart Dalgio from San Pasqual, came out to host a paint-along with community of all
ages. Mart discussed the importance of taking the time to make art and be creative. She
spoke about the benefits of painting and people’s mental health; essentially, how each
color can have diMerent meanings and that you can set diMerent intentions while using
them. As you can see from the bottom photo, even though each person was following the
same instructions all the paintings were diMerent. Having Marti encourage creative
expression really helped each person feel as though they created their own Artwork.
